Wellness Water Challenge

Last week was our first week for the water challenge at UMS.  Students were very enthusiastic.  Maybe too enthusiastic with how much water they drank the first day!  The goal of the challenge is to bring an awareness of increasing water intake for health and learning benefits.  That certainly has happened.  As with any behavioral change, it takes time and practice for it to stick so please remind your child to bring a water bottle every day.

According to our water fountain that keeps track of "water bottles saved" we saved over 100 plastic bottles from needing to be recycled or going into a landfill!

Mrs Anderson's class keeps track with daily tallies.

Mrs Mulcahy's class made guesses about how much water they drank the first week of the challenge.

Mrs Marshall's class is ready to hydrate!
